Tour This Massive Double RV Garage Home Near Boise, Idaho on a Big Lot

Rachel Dau • August 16, 2026

If the ultimate Idaho dream means acreage, wide-open skies, a white fence, room for your RV, your toys, your Costco haul, and maybe even a chicken coop or two nearby, this Middleton home is the whole package.

This is not one of those homes where “RV garage” means you can maybe squeeze in a small trailer if you hold your breath. We are talking about a genuinely massive setup with two RV bays, two driveways, an oversized garage, a second refrigerator, a giant pantry, and a backyard that gives you room to actually enjoy living in Idaho.

Key Takeaways

The Idaho Dream in Middleton

This home sits in Middleton, Idaho, one of our favorite Boise-area suburbs for people who want that small-town country feeling without being way out in the middle of nowhere. The surrounding community has acreage properties, neat landscaping, outbuildings, chicken coops, white fences, and the kind of pride of ownership that makes a neighborhood feel peaceful.

We love this particular location because it feels rural, but daily life is still very convenient. From here, you are roughly:

  • About 15 minutes from Costco
  • Less than 10 minutes from grocery stores
  • About 15 minutes from major hospitals
  • Within easy reach of Target, Walmart, movie theaters, restaurants, and more

That is the Middleton sweet spot. We get the foothills, big blue skies, agricultural views, and room to spread out, while still having practical errands and services close enough to make everyday life easy.

Middleton has that quintessential Idaho country-town energy. It is the kind of place where people tend to run into familiar faces around town, whether they are at a local restaurant, a farm stand, or just out handling errands. It feels connected without feeling crowded.

A Home Designed for Drama and Tranquility

From the minute we walk through the front door, this home gives us both drama and peace and tranquility. The main living area has tall ceilings, big windows, warm flooring, and a dramatic tiled fireplace running all the way toward the ceiling.

The fireplace wall is a real focal point. It includes a linear fireplace with wood inside, built-in cabinetry, shelving, toe-kick lighting, and room for a television above. It is modern and clean but still feels warm enough for Idaho.

The open living room flows directly into the kitchen and dining area, which makes the whole house feel spacious without losing that cozy, gathered-together feeling. This is the kind of layout that works for normal Tuesday nights but also handles holidays, barbecue groups, Bible studies, Bunco nights, and every family gathering in between.

And that dining room has room. We could easily bring in folding tables, card tables, or extra seating without making the space feel jammed up. That matters when we have friends and family coming over, because Idaho living is not just about the house. It is about using the house.

The Kitchen Is Built for Real Life

The kitchen is absolutely a showpiece, but it is practical too. The oversized island seats five people, which is a big deal. Five actual chairs. That means room for breakfast, homework, laptops, snacks, meal prep, and people hanging around while dinner happens.

There are outlets tucked beneath the island, so we can plug in a laptop and work right at the center of the home. The cabinetry is custom and distinctive, not the same copy-and-paste cabinetry we see everywhere. Dark cabinetry, bright countertops, a deep steel sink, pendant lighting, and a large slide-in Italian range give the kitchen a high-end but useful feel.

The built-in refrigerator is full size and integrated into the cabinetry. It is big, but it does not overwhelm the room. Of course, that is only refrigerator number one.

For anyone relocating to Idaho and dreaming of a little more space, this kitchen is a perfect example of why layout matters. It is not just pretty for photos. It is designed around how we actually live, host, cook, work, and gather.

Bedrooms, Bathrooms, and a Thoughtful Layout

This is a three-bedroom, four-bath home with 2,838 square feet, and it makes that square footage work hard. There is an office positioned off the main living space, which is one of our favorite office locations. We can stay connected to what is happening in the house, get natural light, and still have dedicated work space and storage.

The secondary bedroom setup is especially nice. One bedroom has abundant windows, a deep closet, and an attached bathroom with double vanities. Yes, double vanities in a secondary suite. That is not the primary bedroom, people.

It is a great arrangement for older kids, guests, multigenerational living, or anyone who appreciates having more privacy than a standard hallway bathroom setup provides.

The primary suite is its own retreat. It has a tray ceiling, ceiling fan, big windows that nearly reach the floor, and a clear view toward the spacious backyard. Natural light floods the room without making it feel exposed.

The primary bathroom brings the drama again with a long vanity, striking mirror and light fixtures, a freestanding soaking tub, and a huge glass shower. The shower has two shower heads, including a handheld fixture, built-in storage, a bench, and a low-entry design without an awkward step-up lip.

Then we have the walk-in closet, and it is not messing around. There are built-ins, shelves, hanging areas, and the kind of storage that makes getting organized feel possible.

Why Ceiling Fans and Screens Matter in Idaho

Little details matter when we are moving to a new place. One of those details is ceiling fans. The Treasure Valley has four mild seasons, which means spring and fall can be amazing for opening windows, turning things down, and letting fresh air move through the house.

Ceiling fans help us get the most out of that comfortable weather. This home has fans throughout, and that is a feature we genuinely appreciate in this area.

There is one other Idaho reality we should mention: fly season. Yes, we have a fifth season if we are being honest. This is why screens matter. Beautiful accordion-style doors can look amazing, but if they do not come with a practical screen solution, we need to think through how they will work during the parts of the year when bugs are very much invited, whether we invited them or not.

A Backyard Made for Idaho Living

The covered patio is where this home really begins to feel like a lifestyle. It has room for entertaining, outdoor dining, speakers, a fan, and long evenings spent looking out over the yard, foothills, and wide-open sky.

The yard is massive. There is enough room here to enjoy the outdoor space without feeling like the house takes up every inch of the lot. We can envision outdoor games, barbecues, a fire pit area, dogs running around, kids playing, or simply sitting outside and appreciating that we are not stacked on top of the neighbors.

That is one of the biggest draws of acreage-style living around Middleton. We get space, views, and breathing room while still being close to the amenities of the Boise metro area.

The Super Feature: Two Epic RV Bays

Okay, now we get to the part that makes this house seriously special. Behind the kitchen and pantry area is an oversized garage setup that leads to not one, but two deep RV bays.

This is a rare configuration, especially in an already-built home. One RV bay is 49 feet deep, and the other is 43 feet deep. We also have an oversized standard garage area and two driveways. Two driveways, people. We have room for the RV, trailers, vehicles, golf carts, ATVs, off-road toys, sports equipment, a workshop setup, or simply all the stuff that needs somewhere to go.

The garage space is clean, bright, and enormous. It has an epoxy-coated floor, high ceilings, windows for natural light, multiple doors, a hose bib, and direct access toward the yard and driveway areas.

Here is the question: what would we do with this much garage space?

  • Park a large RV and still have room for recreational equipment
  • Create a basketball practice area
  • Store a boat, trailers, golf carts, or ATVs
  • Set up hobby space, a workshop, or a car collection
  • Keep seasonal equipment organized instead of sacrificing closet space

For a lot of people moving to Idaho, the garage is not just where we park cars. It is part of the lifestyle. It supports weekends in the mountains, camping trips, boating, off-roading, projects, sports, and all the reasons we want more room in the first place.

The Costco Pantry and Second Refrigerator

The area between the kitchen and garage might be one of the smartest parts of the floor plan. There is a huge pantry with shelving, another full-size refrigerator and freezer, another sink, countertop space, cabinets, and even more storage.

This is what we call a Costco pantry, and it is glorious. We can stock up on bulk groceries, drinks, freezer meals, party supplies, produce, and everything else without crowding the main kitchen refrigerator.

There is also a mudroom-style transition space with a boot bench, hooks, storage, and a nearby bathroom. It gives us a practical place to come in from the garage, yard, or driveway and drop the real-life stuff before heading into the main living area.

This kind of utility space is a huge win for Idaho living. We have snowy days, muddy days, outdoor hobbies, farm stands, Costco runs, guests, and plenty of reasons to want a house that is beautiful but also ready for life.

Middleton Living, Costs, and Local Lifestyle

One of the reasons people look toward Middleton and the greater Boise area is the potential change in day-to-day costs. For this particular property, annual property taxes are listed at $7,039. Depending on where we are relocating from, especially parts of California, Oregon, Washington, Texas, or other high-cost areas, that number may feel very different from what we are used to.

Idaho also has hydropower through the Snake River, which contributes to relatively low electric costs in many cases. We also have farms and ranches throughout the region, so it is easy to support local agriculture through farm stands and local food options.

And yes, we are going to say it: tip your servers. Restaurant service in Idaho is often friendly, fast, and hardworking, and servers rely heavily on tips. We love the local food scene, and we want to take care of the people making it happen.
